Listed companies' weekly net purchases fell 48% MoM; Strategy made no Bitcoin purchases last week

According to Odaily, data from SoSoValue shows that as of 8:00 AM Eastern Time on September 8, 2026, the total weekly net purchases of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) stood at $267 million, a decrease of 48% compared to the previous week. Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) did not purchase Bitcoin last week. Japanese listed company Metaplanet also did not buy Bitcoin last week, marking eight consecutive weeks without any purchases.

In addition, eight other companies announced Bitcoin purchases or disclosed their Bitcoin holdings last week. Japanese energy investment company Remixpoint announced that as of September 4, 2026, it held a total of 1,506.23390097 BTC, with cumulative expenditures of $111.84 million, an increase of 2.48356398 BTC from the previous week through non-purchase acquisitions. Entertainment technology company Boyaa Interactive announced that between June 24, 2026, and September 4, 2026, it invested $14.3 million to add 205 BTC at an average price of $69,756.097561 per coin, bringing its total holdings to 4,316 BTC. UK-based Bitcoin company The Smarter Web Company announced on September 2 that it invested $2.72 million to purchase 35 BTC at $77,708 per coin, bringing its total holdings to 2,747 BTC. Bitcoin treasury company Bitcoin Treasury Corporation announced on September 4 that its total holdings stand at approximately 737.71 BTC, without disclosing the specific total purchase amount or average cost basis. UK-based Bitcoin treasury company BHODL announced on September 3 that it spent approximately $77,772.17 last week to purchase 1 BTC, bringing its total holdings to roughly 167.487 BTC. Ethereum treasury company Bitmine announced a purchase of 1 BTC after 8:00 AM Eastern Time on August 31, without disclosing the specific purchase amount, bringing its total holdings to 211 BTC. French Bitcoin company Capital B announced on September 7 that it purchased 376 BTC at $67,182 per coin, bringing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. Asset management firm Strive announced on September 8 that it spent approximately $109 million last week to purchase 1,375 BTC at $79,281 per coin, bringing its total holdings to roughly 24,531 BTC.

On the fundraising front, Capital B announced that it has raised an additional €7.6 million (approximately $8.83 million) from investors and institutions, including Adam Back, for the purpose of purchasing Bitcoin. BHODL confirmed the completion of its ATM 2 (second at-the-market offering program), having sold 600,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 8.06 pence per share, raising total proceeds of £48,275 ($65,253.32) for Bitcoin purchases, and has initiated ATM 3 (third at-the-market offering program).

As of press time, the total Bitcoin holdings of the tracked global listed companies (excluding mining companies) stand at 1,119,973 BTC, a decrease of 2.38% from the previous week. The current market value of these holdings is approximately $87.77 billion, representing 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market capitalization.
