Amazon Plans First Sterling Bond Issuance to Raise Funds for AI Investments

Odaily News: Amazon has begun preparations for its first sterling bond issuance, planning to offer bonds with maturities of 3 years, 6 years, 12 years, and 19 years. The transaction could launch as early as September 9, depending on market conditions.

As of now, Amazon has not disclosed the size of the bond issuance. With continued increases in AI infrastructure spending, hyperscale cloud providers such as Amazon are broadening their funding channels through bond issuances denominated in euros, Swiss francs, Japanese yen, and sterling. (Reuters)
