Odaily Planet Daily News: Realio Network, a platform for tokenized issuance and management of RWA assets, was attacked on August 25. The attacker hijacked the platform's signature stack and stole 127.9 million RIO tokens from treasury and custody wallets across five chains — Ethereum, BNB Chain, Algorand, Stellar, and Realio's native chain — worth approximately $6.2 million. About $317,000 of the stolen funds have been cashed out so far. Previously, the platform used a single hot signer via realio[.]fund to centrally manage treasury, reserves, and user-custodied sub-accounts. Once the attacker gained access to the relevant permissions, they could directly sign transfers across multiple chains without requiring user approval or key reconfiguration, and no smart contract vulnerability was involved. Realio officially stated that the platform has been suspended, with all user wallet deposits and withdrawals halted. The team is formulating a recovery plan and verifying event details, while also cooperating with law enforcement to identify the attacker.
