Multiple US tech companies tighten AI spending; Tesla restricts employee AI usage costs

Odaily Planet Daily News: Starting from the 6th of this month, Tesla will restrict employee spending on AI tools. Similar measures are also being adopted by several other US tech companies. According to reports, Tesla has sent an internal memo to employees, announcing that starting from July 6th, each employee's weekly spending cap on AI tools will be $200, with any excess requiring supervisor approval. However, Tesla employees' use of the Grok model from Musk's xAI will not count toward the $200 limit.
