Pakistan expects next round of US-Iran talks to take place after Khamenei's funeral

Odaily reported that Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on July 2, stating that, acting as a mediator, Qatar and Pakistan held talks with US and Iranian negotiators respectively in Doha, achieving positive progress on issues related to the implementation of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding. The statement indicated that the parties conducted in-depth discussions on several specific issues covered by the memorandum and made "positive progress" on relevant topics. The statement noted that all parties have agreed to continue negotiations in the coming period and to finalize the schedule for the next round of talks as soon as possible. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry also stated that the next round of talks is expected to be held as soon as possible after the funeral ceremony of Iran's former Supreme Leader Khamenei. (CCTV News)
