Gold and silver prices show diverging trends; major European and US stock indices generally decline
According to the latest data from Gate, the price of gold has risen to $4,046.05 per ounce, up 0.87% on the day. The price of silver has climbed to $58.91 per ounce, up 1.31% on the day.
The BVIX (Bitcoin Volatility Index) is currently quoted at 44.17, up 0.64% on the day. The EVIX (Ethereum Volatility Index) is currently quoted at 59.23, up 0.56% on the day.
In the forex market, the offshore Chinese yuan (USD/CNH) rose 0.06% on the day, with the current exchange rate at 6.79554. The US dollar against the Japanese yen (USD/JPY) rose 0.03% on the day, with the current exchange rate at 162.547.
Regarding global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 (EUSTX50) fell 0.63% on the day to 6,285.4 points; the UK FTSE 100 (UK100) fell 0.38% on the day to 10,459.2 points; the German DAX 40 (GER40) fell 0.25% on the day to 24,951.4 points.
In commodities, WTI crude oil fell 1.69% on the day to $69.37 per barrel. Brent crude oil fell 2.09% on the day to $72.1 per barrel.
