Iran's Parliament Speaker Says Being Prepared for War is Key to Negotiations
Odaily News, June 30 - Iran's chief negotiator and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated in an interview that Iran is determined to uphold the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). However, if the US refuses to implement the consensus, Iran is prepared for war. Ghalibaf said that negotiating with the US is not like talking to a friend, but rather negotiating with an enemy that has no credibility. He added that whenever the opportunity arises, the US will surely act against Iran again. Therefore, only by being prepared for war can one negotiate effectively.
Furthermore, Ghalibaf refuted claims that Iran's unfrozen funds can only be used to purchase American agricultural products. He described this as "completely inaccurate," stating that according to the MoU, Iran has the right to manage the unfrozen funds at its own discretion. (CCTV International News)
