Odaily reports that a senior Iranian official stated that indirect talks between Tehran and Washington began in Doha on Tuesday evening local time, with discussions focusing on the unfreezing of Iranian funds and issues related to the Strait of Hormuz.

The official said: "The indirect negotiations began on Tuesday evening. Iran held meetings with officials from Qatar and Pakistan, who subsequently engaged with the US side. The indirect talks continued on Wednesday, focusing on Iran's frozen assets and the Strait of Hormuz issue." (Jin Shi)
