Amazon Web Services to Invest $1 Billion in New AI Division

Odaily News On June 30, local time, Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing service platform of U.S. tech giant Amazon, announced a $1 billion (approximately RMB 6.8 billion) investment to establish a new artificial intelligence division dedicated to helping clients build and deploy AI systems.

AWS stated that it plans to deploy thousands of frontline engineers who will work closely with clients' business, R&D, and security teams. It will take just a few weeks to help clients build self-operating technical teams and deliver complete AI solutions. According to foreign media reports, AWS is the world's largest cloud service provider by revenue and the first hyperscale cloud vendor to launch such a dedicated on-site engineer service. (Jinshi)
