以太坊基金会完成Argot五年资助，4938枚stETH分两批解锁

Odaily, Ethereum Foundation (EF) and Argot Collective jointly announced the full completion of a five-year grant commitment. A total of 4,938 stETH will be transferred to a dedicated multi-signature wallet and unlocked in two batches: part on July 1, 2026, and the remainder on July 1, 2027.

The grants for the first three years were distributed last year, while the funding for the remaining two years was postponed due to governance and terms negotiations, but has now been finalized. The funds are managed by a 2/3 multi-signature escrow jointly held by Argot, a newly established failure protection committee, and the Ethereum Foundation. An independent committee acts as an arbitration body, providing professional opinions on programming languages and compilers, ensuring Argot's developmental independence.

Argot stated that this grant provides substantial support for the team's operations, but long-term challenges for the ecosystem remain. The Ethereum Foundation's funding capacity is limited, and public infrastructure such as staking, DeFi, and underlying protocols cannot rely on a single funding entity over the long term. The team will maintain a semi-annual transparency report and roadmap update mechanism.
