Odaily reported that the Nikkei 225 index closed up 107.23 points, or 0.15%, at 69,468.11 on Monday, June 29, after falling over 1% earlier. South Korea's KOSPI index closed up 5.62 points, or 0.07%, at 8,416.83 on Monday, June 29, while the KOSDAQ index closed up about 8%. Following investment plans announced by Samsung and SK, the KOSPI index erased a decline of up to 3.4% and turned positive intraday, with the small-cap KOSDAQ also rebounding. (Jin Shi)
