香港政府：受监管稳定币预计于今年中至下半年推出

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the Hong Kong government stated that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority granted stablecoin issuer licenses to two institutions with banking backgrounds in April 2026. Based on the existing business plans of these two institutions, regulated stablecoins are expected to be officially launched between mid-year and the second half of this year.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has sent letters to market entities engaged in stablecoin issuance that are not yet regulated, clarifying relevant legal requirements and will continue to monitor compliance. If necessary, individual cases may be referred to the police or the Department of Justice for handling. Additionally, the Hong Kong government will submit a new virtual asset regulatory bill to the Legislative Council this year, aiming to establish a more comprehensive regulatory framework for providers of virtual asset trading, custody, advisory, and management services.
