Odaily Planet Daily reported that the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will lift the ban on retail investors purchasing crypto exchange-traded notes (ETNs) starting next Wednesday (October 8). The ban came into effect in 2019. According to the FCA's announcement, only crypto ETNs listed on "FCA-approved, UK-based investment exchanges" will be available to retail investors. Unlike ETNs (debt securities linked to crypto assets), crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are still prohibited from being offered to retail investors in the UK.
