The share of the US dollar in global central bank foreign exchange reserves has fallen to a 30-year low, with the depreciation of the US dollar being the main reason.
2025-10-01 13:52

The share of the US dollar in foreign central bank foreign exchange reserves has fallen to its lowest level since 1995, a change primarily due to a sharp depreciation of the dollar rather than a decline in holdings. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Wednesday that the dollar's share of international reserves fell to 56.3% between April and June. This represents a drop of nearly 1.5 percentage points from the first quarter, reaching a 30-year low. However, at constant exchange rates, the dollar's share remained largely unchanged. (Jinshi)
