According to Odaily Planet Daily, Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and Michigan Democratic Senator Elissa Slotkin have asked the inspectors general of the Commerce and State Departments to investigate whether Trump administration officials violated ethics regulations in two multi-billion dollar transactions involving the United Arab Emirates. One of the transactions involved a US plan to allow the UAE to import American-made artificial intelligence chips. The other involved a company backed by the UAE government transferring $2 billion to a cryptocurrency company founded by the Trump family and the family of one of their advisors, Steve Witkoff. Witkoff officially served as a State Department employee for the first six months of this year before transferring to the White House. (The New York Times)
