Citigroup's Dirk Weiler: Europe's business cycle is turning, overweight US stocks, bearish on the US dollar
3hours ago

Odaily Planet Daily reported that at the "2025 Asset Management Annual Conference," Citi's Global Macro and Asset Allocation Research Head, Dirk Willer, shared his investment views on major global markets for the second half of this year. Willer first outlined Citi's asset allocation strategy: overweight equities (particularly the United States, and to a lesser extent Europe), underweight UK equities; neutral on government bonds, overweight emerging market bonds, underweight Japanese government bonds; underweight investment-grade credit in Europe and the United States; neutral on commodities; short the US dollar, long the euro and some emerging market currencies. Regarding the stock market, Willer noted the clear return of "American exceptionalism," as clearly demonstrated by its performance relative to Europe and other regions globally. The core driver is the return of artificial intelligence trading—the technology sector's performance has led the US market and provided key support. (21 Asset Management)
