US prosecutors recommend up to 8 years in prison for Mango Markets attackers

Odaily News U.S. prosecutors submitted a letter to a district judge on Tuesday, recommending that Mango Markets attacker Avi Eisenberg be sentenced to 78 to 97 months (about 6.5-8 years) in prison. Eisenberg previously claimed that his actions were a legal trading strategy, but prosecutors believed that he knew that these actions were illegal. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 1. Earlier news, Solana ecosystem DeFi platform Mango Markets was hacked in October 2022, resulting in more than $100 million in bad debts. (The Block)
