Odaily News In February this year, Metis launched MetisSDK and announced that it would launch Hyperion, a high-performance chain built for AI native applications based on MetisSDK.
Metis has made further strategic announcements on its dual-chain strategy. Metis aims to provide scalable, high-performance solutions for the entire blockchain ecosystem based on MetisSDK. Through this, a complementary Layer2 ecosystem will be built through the integration of the AI-specific layer Hyperion (HYPE) and the basic layer Andromeda.
As the first step for Metis to build a scalable decentralized infrastructure, Andromeda has realized a complete decentralized sorter node architecture, using Optimistic Rollup technology, focusing on general scenarios (such as DeFi, enterprise applications), and ensuring security and decentralization. Hyperion is based on MetisSDK and consists of components such as MetisVM and MetisDB. Metis SDK provides cross-chain development tools to achieve seamless interaction between dual networks; METIS tokens will serve as the native Gas Token of the dual chains.
It is reported that the Hyperion testnet is scheduled to go online at the end of April 2025, and the mainnet will be launched in August. Andromeda will achieve Stage 0 upgrade in the near future and plans to achieve Stage 1 goal by the end of the year.
