Trump's Crypto Reserves Boost XRP, ADA, Other Cryptos Under Pressure
Odaily News Since Trump's election, XRP and Cardano (ADA) have risen 375% and 163%, respectively, while Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana have performed relatively weakly. The gains of XRP and ADA have benefited from the improved regulatory environment of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The SEC, led by the new acting chairman Mark T. Uyeda, has stopped enforcement actions against several major cryptocurrency companies, including Coinbase and Kraken. Bitcoin is currently trading at around $86,700, up about 29% since November, but far below its high of $108,000 in January. Some researchers believe that if Trump had not included Cardano in the reserves, its performance might have been inferior; XRP's rise is more due to the expected end of the lawsuit with the SEC.
