One idea is to reinstate the charter of the CFTC-SEC Joint Advisory Committee, which was established in 2010 to provide a forum for discussing emerging regulatory issues affecting both agencies. The committee has been dormant since 2014.
The CFTC’s acting chairman called for reforms to the advisory committee last year, calling it a strong signal of a new collaborative and cooperative regulatory approach to digital assets in the United States.
