The self-sovereignty of the network is related to its commitment to independent stakers. Ignoring independent stakers is a luxury in 'good times' (referring to the large number of independent stakers when market conditions are good), but it will cost us in 'bad times' (referring to the small number of independent stakers when market conditions are bad, which in turn affects the security of the ecological network)."
