Odaily News Blockchain gaming platform Oasys announced that it will make a major upgrade to its Layer 1 (Hub Layer) in September. The v1.5.0 update will reduce the block time from 15 seconds to 6 seconds, aiming to improve network performance and user experience to accommodate the growing activities on the Verse Layer. Oasys said that shortening the block time will double the processing power per unit time of the Hub Layer, helping to support the growing number of users, games, and applications. However, faster block generation may lead to increased operating costs for validators.
