Interactive Brokers Launches Crypto Trading for UK Clients

Odaily News Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR), a global automated electronic broker, today announced the launch of cryptocurrency trading as a new feature on its platform in the United Kingdom. Interactive Brokers (UK) Ltd. (IBUK)’s individual and institutional investor clients, including financial advisors, can now trade crypto assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) as well as a range of other investment products from the platform through Interactive Brokers. Eligible clients of IBUK can trade and view balances through a single platform that provides a unified view of their IBUK Securities brokerage account and crypto accounts with Paxos Trust Company. Gerald Perez, CEO of Interactive Brokers (UK) Ltd., said the introduction of cryptocurrency trading provides UK clients with greater flexibility to invest across markets and asset classes, while also increasing exposure to digital assets.
