The proposed merger plan between Hut 8 Mining and USBTC has been announced by the US SEC as effective, and the transaction will be completed by the end of this month

According to official news from Odaily, Bitcoin mining company Hut 8 Mining disclosed that its proposed merger plan with US Bitcoin Corp (USBTC) has been announced by the US SEC as effective. The combined company will be named Hut 8 Corp. (New Hut) and become a U.S.-registered entity. Upon completion of the transaction, New Huts common shares are expected to be listed on Nasdaq and the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol HUT. The transaction is expected to close on November 30, 2023, subject to USBTC shareholder approval and other customary closing conditions.
