Odaily News IOTA co-founder Dominik Schiener said that the network plans to release the IOTA 2.0 network and increase the utility of its MIOTA token in the coming months. The upcoming IOTA 2.0 network will introduce smart contracts, focus on L2 and DeFi, and introduce new ecosystem funds. The Stardust hard fork is scheduled to be released on October 4th and will lay the technical foundation for IOTA 2.0, which is scheduled to go online in the fourth quarter of this year. (CoinDesk)
