South Korean brokerages estimate that Samsung Electronics' operating profit this year will be around 300 trillion won, approximately equivalent to $200 billion. Kim Yong-kwan reportedly said that this year's profit alone will exceed the cumulative profit generated by Samsung over the 40 years since it entered the semiconductor business.
