South Korea's semiconductor exports in the first 20 days of August surged 198.8% year-on-year

Odaily News: The Kobeissi Letter posted on X, stating that South Korea's chip industry continues to grow rapidly, driven by AI demand. Data shows that South Korea's chip trade surplus rose to a record of approximately $35 billion in June, more than doubling from a year earlier, while the trade surplus for non-chip products during the same period was only about $1 billion.
In addition, South Korea's semiconductor exports in the first 20 days of August increased 198.8% year-on-year, and computer-related product exports rose 242.1% year-on-year. Overall exports during the same period grew 61.5% year-on-year, marking the second consecutive month of growth exceeding 60% after July's 62.9% increase.
