Odaily News: According to data from MSX.COM, Trump family-linked Bitcoin mining company American Bitcoin (ABTC) saw its share price rise over 13%, with the latest price at $7.38, and the company's market capitalization climbing to approximately $533 million.
After ABTC released its quarterly earnings, company director and Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen purchased ABTC shares on two consecutive days, with a total investment of approximately $1.93 million, which the market views as a sign of confidence in the company's prospects. Regulatory filings show that on August 5, Mateen bought approximately 145,000 Class A common shares of ABTC for about $925,000, at an average price of roughly $6.40 per share. On August 6, he purchased an additional approximately 162,000 shares for about $1 million, at an average price of around $6.19 per share. In total, Mateen increased his holdings by 306,981 ABTC shares across the two transactions, bringing his total share count to 492,297 shares.
American Bitcoin, backed by the Trump family, is a publicly traded company focused on Bitcoin mining operations. The company previously sought to become a major player in the wave of U.S.-based Bitcoin mining expansion through integration with crypto mining enterprises and expanding its hashrate capacity.
