In global stock indices, the Euro Stoxx 50 (EUSTX50) rose 0.12% on the day to 6,537.95 points; the UK FTSE 100 (UK100) fell 0.43% on the day to 10,839.6 points; the German DAX40 (GER40) declined 0.12% on the day to 26,330.8 points.
In commodities, WTI crude oil rose 1.52% on the day to $79.96 per barrel. Brent crude oil gained 1.03% on the day to $86.07 per barrel.
