The close cooperation between sports and Crypto heralds the advent of the digital age of sports.

There was less news about sports and crypto last week, as crypto-related games were played on the field.

Among them, the baseball game is coming to an end, the NBA and NFL seasons are about to start, and the NHL playoffs are coming soon.

From a Crypto perspective, however, the focus is on the World Cup.

This year's World Cup is held in Qatar, and there are also official Crypto sponsors. The close cooperation between sports and Crypto indicates that the digitalization of sports is coming, let us wait and see.

Next, let's recap last week's big news in sports and crypto.

To welcome the upcoming World Cup, FIFA official payment partner Visa and Crypto.com launched the 2022 Qatar World Cup themed "Visa Masters of Movement" series of NFTs.

Visa will auction off five minted NFTs recording iconic World Cup goals of legendary soccer players Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen and Maxi Rodriguez.

Both Visa and Crypto.com are partners that will be revealed this month when the World Cup kicks off in Qatar.

The initial tender for the collaborative NFT project closed on November 8, and all proceeds will go to UK charity Street Child United.

Tom Brady and Tyrese Haliburton have each been through a lot in the past year.

Brady faced public criticism on and off the court, and Haliburton faced a tough time when he was traded from the Sacramento Kings to the Indiana Pacers in the offseason.

Brady's Autograph.io company is a platform known for striking deals with some of the biggest sports stars in the world.

Now the platform has chosen to partner with Haliburton to record a new podcast called Autograph Presents: Get Minted with Tyrese Haliburton.

In the first episode of the podcast launched last week, Autograph committee member Tony Hawk also participated in the show. The next few episodes will feature the likes of Eva Longoria Bastón and Charli D'Amelio.
