Major League Baseball (MLB) has reached the playoffs, and MLB has signed an NFT agreement with growing sports platform Candy Digital, but the hottest topic in sports and Crypto in the past week has nothing to do with baseball.
A number of headlines and conversations about F1 and European football dominated the headlines this week in their stead.

F1 Submits New NFT Trademark Application
F1 previously signed a federation-wide agreement with Crypto.com, initially exploring the field of Crypto and allowing individual racing teams to have their own Crypto partners.
In recent days, F1 has submitted related trademark applications such as Crypto, NFT, and virtual goods, and seems to want to show its talents in the Crypto and NFT market.
According to USPTO registered trademark attorney Mike Kondoudis, F1 has applied for eight trademarks for "F1".
These include: Crypto+ NFT, NFT +Crypto market, virtual commodity retail store, blockchain financial transaction, Crypto transaction + farming and other trademarks.
The move could prompt potential NFT partners to join the ranks of F1, which has so far only established crypto-type partnerships with Crypto.com.

The long road to cooperation between Inter Milan and Digitalbits?
Inter Milan ended its 26-year cooperation agreement with tire manufacturer Pirelli in 2021. Instead, Milan chose to sign a new cooperation agreement with the fan token platform Socios.
In addition, Milan has also signed with the NFT platform Digitalbits, but in recent months there have been rumors that the partnership between the two parties is worrying.
Rumors have swirled in the past week, with the Italian football board and local media speculating that Digitalbits owed its club a large sum of sponsorship money and that their partnership could be terminated before the end of the month.
The rumors are certainly well-founded, as the Digitalbits branding has been removed from the club's training ground and club headquarters.
That leaves only the most valuable asset, the club shirt, which has so far remained largely unchanged.
In addition, it took only 3 months for public opinion to report that the two parties had established a cooperative relationship to when there were problems with the cooperation.
Numerous football news agencies have reported that Digitalbits apparently did not pay their sponsorship fees in time and that Inter Milan are considering legal action against the company.
Compared with other major sports events, European football has unique advantages in terms of sponsorship and cooperation with Crypto, but due to its global influence and appeal, there are still a lot of gray areas in terms of sponsorship.

Meta inks sports partnership with Liverpool
There is always a way out. Despite the lackluster headlines surrounding Meta’s explorations in VR and Crypto in recent years, there have been plenty of headlines.
But the company led by Zuckerberg has recently made a new move, which is to establish a partnership with another European football club, Liverpool.
Liverpool will be collaborating with Meta around new digital avatars and Metaverse clothing, which will also be coming to Meta Quest VR by the end of the year.
According to SportsProMedia, the licensing deal will be the first of its kind for a European football club. The partnership will split revenue for Liverpool and will remain active in seven different markets around the world.
This is not the first time Liverpool has explored the metaverse, they have tried to issue NFTs before, but with little success.
Meta also previously struck a similar digital avatar-based partnership with the NFL during the Super Bowl.
Drew Crisp, senior vice president of Liverpool Digital Club, said that more than 70 million supporters around the world follow the Liverpool club's Facebook and Instagram channels and are very excited to see these digital avatars can change their appearance, wear the brand's iconic equipment or everyday clothing .
