Solana Ventures is pleased to announce the results of Riptide, a global hackathon focused on bringing impactful projects into the Solana ecosystem. Riptide is the fifth hackathon held by Solana, and it is also the first time that builders from all over the world gather in an offline "Hacker House". The hackathon brings together cryptocurrency pioneers and developers from around the world, who are free to develop various projects covering payment, DeFi, games, DAO and other types on the Solana blockchain.
Riptide was open to teams around the world, with nearly 7,000 participants submitting a total of more than 550 projects. Google, Visa, Jump Crypto, Samsung NEXT, MonkeDAO and Mango are the track sponsors of this hackathon, and together with Solana Ventures, provided participants with a global bonus of up to US$5 million and seed funding.
"I'm excited to see the projects being built in Solana during the Riptide competition," said Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana Labs. Blockchain technology paves the way.”
