Odaily News: The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) recently announced the establishment of the Cross-border Payments Interoperability and Expansion (PIE) working group, which includes Ripple, a blockchain-based digital payment network. BIS announced the members of the PIE special working group, which will focus on "strengthening cross-border payments and achieving G20-endorsed quantitative goals for cross-border payments." The working group is part of the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) of the Bank for International Settlements.

Ripple will collaborate with other working group members such as Mastercard and SWIFT to achieve BIS' goal of improving cross-border payment interoperability. (cointelegraph)
