Amazon will release its second-quarter financial results after the US stock market closes, with AWS cloud business and capital expenditure becoming market focal points
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Amazon will release its 2026 second-quarter financial results after the US stock market closes. According to LSEG statistics, the market expects the company's revenue to be $196.47 billion and earnings per share to be $1.82. Among this, AWS cloud business revenue is expected to reach $40.54 billion, and advertising business revenue is expected to be $19.43 billion.
The market is also paying attention to progress in Amazon's AI infrastructure investment. The company previously maintained its 2026 capital expenditure guidance of approximately $200 billion. However, after Alphabet raised its full-year capital expenditure expectations, multiple institutions predict that Amazon may also raise its full-year capital expenditure target. Morgan Stanley expects Amazon's capital expenditure this year to reach $218 billion and is optimistic about AWS maintaining long-term growth driven by collaborations with OpenAI, Anthropic, and others.
