On October 7, the highly anticipated Sui Basecamp 2026 grandly opened at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Sui Basecamp is the annual flagship event of the Sui ecosystem, and this year's theme is the "Agent Economy." Countless founders, developers, and investors gathered on-site to discuss technology, witness the launch of new Sui products, and try out live demonstrations.
The venue was extremely lively, with hundreds of attendees flooding in and lines once stretching outside the venue. The core highlights of this Sui Basecamp included Samsung Wallet integrating USDC on Sui, the Hashi mainnet launching in phases this month, CCTP V2 going live on Sui, and Sui once again pushing toward its record of roughly 6 million TPS.

Sui Basecamp 2026 brought together more than 20 projects from the Sui ecosystem. After buying a drink using Slush Wallet, one attendee remarked: "Sui payments are highly convenient and have already covered users' daily needs in food, clothing, housing, and transportation. On-chain payments are no longer a geek's toy—they are entering everyday consumer scenarios."

Adeniyi Abiodun, co-founder of Sui blockchain development company Mysten Labs, delivered a speech on-site titled "The Machine Economy Won't Wait."
In his speech, Adeniyi Abiodun stated that Sui is positioned as the coordination layer and settlement layer for this Agent economy. He also directly addressed the SUI token supply issue on-site, stating that approximately 817,900 SUI have been repurchased this year, and that more stablecoins in the future will generate more revenue, which will then be used to buy back SUI tokens. The goal is for stablecoin revenue to both subsidize free stablecoin transfers and continuously buy back SUI.
"SUI will probably never reach 10 billion in circulating supply—over the long term, it will be far less." Adeniyi said confidently.

In addition, there were three major announcements on-site. First, Samsung Wallet integrated USDC on Sui, covering 82 million Galaxy devices across the United States; second, CCTP V2 launched on Sui, allowing native USDC to move freely across chains between Sui and 29 other supported blockchains; and finally, the Hashi mainnet was announced to launch in phases this month, having already secured over $500 million in funding commitments.
At Sui Basecamp 2026, Mysten Labs also conducted a new live TPS test, attempting to break the record of roughly 6 million TPS set by Sui on July 4.
Ultimately, after independent on-site analysis and verification by CertiK, Sui TPS reached 40,614,180 transactions per second, setting a new record. This record demonstrates that Sui is ready for the Agent economy.
Beyond that, attendees could also experience more of the fun of the Sui ecosystem on-site.
Sui Basecamp 2026 hosted a Hudi trading competition, where 5 top traders competed live on the Hudi platform in real time, and ultimately trader Mayne won $25,000.

At the AI Builder Lab, developers participated in workshops led by teams working at the intersection of AI and Sui, building an Agent with memory capabilities on-site.
