Odaily Editorial Team Tea Talk (February 11th)
- Core View: Against the backdrop of a lack of new narratives and a sluggish market in the crypto space, members of the Odaily editorial team shared their immediate observations and strategic attempts, including turning to prediction markets (such as Polymarket) for high-risk, high-reward bets, paying attention to external technological trends like AI video generation, and evaluating the policy impact on areas like RWA.
- Key Elements:
- Several members adopted a "last-minute rush" strategy on Polymarket, aiming for high returns with extremely low single-trade costs (e.g., $1 to a few dollars) (with one case achieving a 1000% return), and pointed out that the market has only 65,000 LP participants, indicating it is far from saturated.
- Believing the current crypto market is dull, they suggested focusing on external trends like ByteDance's Seedance 2.0 and other AI video generation models, which lower the barrier to creation and could potentially spawn new investment opportunities in AI-related tokens.
- One view was to bottom-fish Ondo (an RWA concept token) based on the logic of policy tightening in a certain region, and recommended paying attention to policy analysis articles related to RWA.
- They hold a cautious stance on SOL's spot price, with one member believing its current value proposition is even less attractive than silver's, being more optimistic about the latter's potential for price appreciation.
This is an "informal" column from within the Odaily editorial team. Here, the authors share immediate thoughts and different perspectives on industry news, data, hot topics, and their peripheral details; they explore investment ideas and opportunity hypotheses still under validation—these may not be direct wealth codes, but could simply be the questions themselves; they share observations gained from interacting with industry practitioners; and materials that have genuinely enhanced our understanding, whether from internal or external sources.
The content of this column is based on the real investment and observation experiences of Odaily editorial team members. It does not accept any form of commercial advertising, nor does it constitute investment advice (after all, we are equally experienced in losing money). Its purpose is solely to broaden perspectives and supplement information sources, not to manufacture consensus. Welcome to join the Odaily community (Telegram Discussion Group, X Official Account) to discuss, question, and banter together.

Sharing: In terms of operations, I've recently been focusing on playing PolyMarket. Last week, I successfully turned 100 U into 800 U. The strategy lies in buying the crypto board's 15-minute and 1-hour closing price tails, using a few dollars to chase large returns, with limited single-trade losses.
The current crypto market is quite boring, with no new narratives. It's better to look outside the circle and learn something new. I've recently been focusing on experiencing ByteDance's new Seedance 2.0 model. Those interested can check out the related tutorial: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/2004523300588643639. For ordinary people wanting to catch a wave of benefits in the AIGC era, now is a good opportunity. The emergence of Seedance 2.0 has lowered the barrier to video production, but true mastery still requires significant effort. The more complete the storyboard script, the higher the quality of the generated content.

Sharing: 1. Bought the dip on Ondo. The logic is that policy tightening in a certain region brings short-term benefits to the top players.
2. A recent polymarket strategy I'm obsessed with: During periods of high market volatility, buy 50-100 shares at a low cost of $1, snatch the closing tail across multiple rounds, look for extreme situations, aiming for big wins with small stakes. On the initial manual trades, I've already achieved a 1000% return.
3. For this Polymarket strategy (similar to sweeping the closing tail), I'm also developing related scripts. They are usable now, but I've found the overall strategy still needs adjustment. It's not something that can be perfected overnight to guarantee profits during "high volatility," but such a guaranteed profit-making thing probably doesn't exist anyway. We can only compare lifecycles horizontally.

Sharing: 1. The market is cold. While delivering food, I'm playing prediction markets for small, fun bets, mainly betting on LOL matches, winning and losing. Also, I recommend everyone to become an LP. I saw some data before that there are only 65,000 LPs on polymarket currently, far from saturation.
2. SOL's spot price is almost the same as silver's. Personally, I feel it's not even as cost-effective as silver. If I had to choose, I'm more bullish on silver's upside.
3. AI agents are currently one of the only two hot topics besides prediction markets. Combined with high-manipulation meme coins like pippin, it's worth paying attention to video model-related plays like seedance2.0. I feel there will be a wave of new AI concept coins.
