Pi Network announced the integration of more AI technology into its standard KYC system to improve authentication processing speed and scalability. This upgrade uses the same underlying AI technology as Pi FastPass KYC, reducing the KYC application queue waiting for manual verification by 50%, alleviating verifier bottlenecks, and shortening processing time.

AI integration not only improves verification efficiency but also addresses the shortage of validators in certain countries and regions, helping more pioneering users complete their mainnet migration faster. The system employs a conservative AI review strategy to prevent false positives; uncertain cases are still referred to human validators for further verification.
The upgraded KYC system reduces the need for manual verification while maintaining accuracy. The saved human resources can be reallocated to new opportunities, such as ecosystem development, AI model feedback, and reinforcement training products.
Updated KYC and migration statistics
According to the latest statistics from Pi Network, 17.5 million pioneer users have fully passed KYC verification, of which 15.7 million have successfully migrated to the mainnet. In addition, approximately 3 million users are still in temporary KYC status and need to complete a liveness detection within the application to obtain full verification eligibility.
