On November 23, the ETHGlobal Buenos Aires Hackathon, a highlight of Devconnect, officially concluded. One day after the successful conclusion of Devconnect 2025, the official Ethereum Developers Conference (@EFDevcon) announced on X that the next Ethereum Developers Conference, Devcon 8, is planned to be held in Mumbai, India, in the fourth quarter of 2026.

A total of 475 projects competed in this hackathon, sharing a $500,000 prize pool provided by leading protocols such as the Ethereum Foundation, Worldcoin, and Uniswap. After multiple rounds of selection, 10 projects were ultimately chosen.

Compared to previous years, the technical narratives of this year's final projects were more hardcore and focused. We saw that the x402 protocol is gradually becoming the new standard for payment and proxy interactions, Bitcoin's cross-chain programmability is being redefined, and ZK privacy protection technology is beginning to penetrate into specific payment and content traceability scenarios. Furthermore, the sophisticated LP management tools for Uniswap V4 and the prediction market based on real-world demand demonstrated the application layer's extreme pursuit of capital efficiency and authenticity.

Next, Odaily will take you through these 10 shortlisted projects that represent the latest trends in the Ethereum ecosystem.

x402 protocol

Paybot

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/paybot-q7grd

Keywords: x402 protocol, Internet of Things, Gas-free

Overview: Paybot is an IoT device access control system based on the x402 payment protocol, designed to address the gas fee pain point in micro-payments for physical devices. In this architecture, users only need to sign a QUSD stablecoin payment authorization; they do not need to hold ETH. The service provider then submits the transaction on-chain and pays the gas fees on their behalf. Paybot enables truly low-barrier micro-payments for IoT applications such as robot rentals, avoiding the obstacles to user experience caused by high on-chain costs.

Hubble Trading Arena

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/hubble-trading-arena-oddx1

Keywords: AI agent, autonomous trading, x402 protocol

Overview: Hubble Trading Arena is an on-chain AI trading environment showcasing an automated financial collaboration model without human intervention. Within the platform, on-chain agents automatically handle hiring, payments, and collaboration via x402 and ERC-8004 protocols, performing real-time market reasoning and trading. Hubble has validated the feasibility of thousands of professional financial agents collaborating on-chain, providing an infrastructure reference for building complex decentralized automated trading strategies.

payload.exchange

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/payloadexchange-x07pi

Keywords: X402 protocol, sponsorship model, data monetization

Overview: Payload Exchange is a payment proxy layer based on the x402 protocol that extends the traditional payment experience by introducing a third-party "sponsor" mechanism. In this system, sponsors can pay part or all of the cost in exchange for specific user actions or data, allowing users to access content without direct payment. This three-way collaboration model aims to lower the barrier to content access while providing merchants and sponsors with a new monetization path based on user behavior and data value.

zkx402 (ProofofLeak)

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/zkx402-proofofleak-wxtjf

Keywords: x402 payment protocol, identity verification

Overview: zkx402 is a privacy-enhanced version of the x402 payment protocol, integrating zero-knowledge proofs to support more granular transaction scenarios. This protocol introduces an identity-based (e.g., human, AI agent) variable pricing mechanism and allows content creators to prove data origins (e.g., sensor data or author identity) without exposing their privacy. zkx402 is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring protection of information sources, such as whistleblower mechanisms or sensitive data transactions, ensuring the security and anonymity of the payment and verification process.

Prediction Market

JetLagged

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/jetlagged-kt8i0

Keywords: prediction market, flight delay, Farcaster

Overview: JetLagged is a decentralized flight delay prediction marketplace deployed on the Celo and Oasis networks. The platform utilizes an AMM mechanism to adjust odds in real-time based on market demand and automatically verifies flight status through an Oasis backend oracle, ensuring decentralized and impartial result analysis. Furthermore, JetLagged integrates with the Farcaster Frame, allowing users to participate in predictions directly within social applications, aiming to provide air travelers with a transparent and automated on-chain assurance tool.

Bitcoin cross-chain

BMCP

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/bmcp-pfm11

Keywords: Bitcoin cross-chain, Schnorr signature, interoperability

Introduction: BMCP (Bitcoin Multi-Chain Protocol) aims to connect the Bitcoin and EVM ecosystems through cross-chain programmability. Users can directly sign transactions using Bitcoin's native Schnorr signature (Taproot). After the Cross-Chain Relay Engine (CRE) verifies the valid message in OP_RETURN, contract calls can be triggered on chains such as Ethereum using Chainlink CCIP. BMCP enables secure control of DeFi interactions on the EVM chain using Bitcoin assets while minimizing trust.

LP Management

Yoga

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/yoga-up5v4

Keywords: Uniswap V4, liquidity management

Introduction: Yoga is a non-fungible position manager designed for Uniswap V4, aiming to address the lack of flexibility in traditional liquidity position management. Unlike the traditional model where each NFT represents only a single price range, Yoga allows LPs to manage multiple sub-positions within a single NFT, enabling complex liquidity allocation across price ranges. Through a simplified interface, contracts can automatically calculate and execute underlying position modifications, helping LPs execute complex market-making strategies more efficiently.

Aqua0

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/aqua0-u2krx

Keywords: Cross-chain AMM, Shared liquidity, LayerZero

Overview: Aqua0 aims to extend the Aqua shared liquidity layer developed by 1inch to multi-chain environments using LayerZero's cross-chain messaging technology. Addressing the current issues of fragmented liquidity and low utilization in the DEX market, Aqua0 has built a cross-chain AMM market, enabling the unified allocation of funds previously idle across different chains. This improvement significantly enhances capital efficiency, allowing LPs to unlock more yield opportunities through seamless cross-chain asset interaction.

Privacy protection

LensMint Web3 Camera

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/lensmint-web3-camera-yzu6m

Keywords: Hardware signing, ZK verification, Content tracing

Introduction: LensMint is a hardware-based "camera-to-blockchain" system designed to ensure the authenticity of news images and creative content through technological means. The system performs hardware-level signatures at the moment a photo is captured, uses vlayer to generate zero-knowledge proofs, and ensures the immutability of data stored on Filecoin. LensMint provides journalists, creators, and event organizers with a trustless verification mechanism, solving content traceability issues and automating ownership and revenue sharing through a built-in QR code system.

Halo

Award homepage: https://ethglobal.com/showcase/halo-hi8bv

Keywords: World ID, privacy protection, data monetization

Introduction: Halo is a mini-program based on World Chain, dedicated to transforming users' offline consumption behavior into on-chain value while protecting privacy. Addressing the pain point of real-world economic data often being locked in closed systems, Halo allows users to scan shopping receipts to extract merchant and consumption information, and uses World ID to verify user identity to prevent Sybil attacks. This project establishes an effective mechanism connecting real-world economic activities with on-chain rewards while ensuring user privacy.
