What specific measures have you taken to ensure the security of user assets? What are your plans for transparency and compliance going forward?

Eric He: Security is absolutely the lifeline of a trading platform. Our success over the past decade is largely due to our robust risk control and security systems. Our measures can be divided into two levels: technical and institutional.

On a technical level , we've built a leading intelligent risk control system, incorporating artificial intelligence and big data analytics. In the past quarter, our system successfully intercepted over 2,000 potential security threats, preventing over $300 million in potential losses. Our rapid response mechanism intercepts an average of 500 suspicious transactions per month. Furthermore, we've partnered with Elliptic, CertiK, and others to integrate cutting-edge on-chain anti-money laundering (KYT) tools, providing real-time alerts for unusual fund flows. These measures ensure we remain one step ahead of risks like hacker attacks and fraud.

At the institutional level, we've built a multi-layered defense system. First, we have isolated user assets and a multi-signature wallet mechanism to ensure the security of user assets, even if a single node fails. Second, as you mentioned, we established a $100 million risk protection fund early on. In the event of an extreme situation, this fund can be activated promptly to compensate users, serving as a "last resort" for investors. Furthermore, we place great emphasis on rights management and internal controls. In the past ten years, we haven't had a single security incident caused by internal oversight. Our "zero incident" record isn't a stroke of luck, but the result of a steady, daily, and measured approach.

Transparency and compliance are also key areas of focus for us going forward. We have obtained regulatory compliance licenses in numerous countries around the world, including Italy's VASP license, Canada's MSB license, and Australia's digital currency exchange license. We will continue to steadily advance our compliance efforts, ensuring that users in more countries and regions enjoy legal and compliant services. Furthermore, we plan to soon launch a Proof of Reserves system, allowing users to verify at any time that platform reserves are 100% matched with their assets. Let me give you a few examples. Last year, we supported local blockchain university clubs in several countries and held Web3 summer training camps. Our goal was to provide young people interested in crypto with an opportunity to delve deeper into the industry and cultivate future developers and entrepreneurs. This, in turn, sowed the seeds for the industry's future.

For example, after disasters like the earthquake in Turkey and the typhoon in Japan, we immediately reached out to local users and communities to provide assistance to the best of our ability. While crypto people come from all over the world, when faced with disasters, we share a common destiny. The more we do, the warmer the community becomes.

There were also industry-wide incidents like Slerf and DEXX. When some projects ran into difficulties, we decided to step in and establish a custodial compensation fund to help affected users and teams overcome their difficulties. While some may view this as meddling, we believe it demonstrates LBank's commitment: exchanges are not merely profit-seeking institutions, but also guardians of the industry ecosystem. Q: Looking ahead at the tenth anniversary, what stage do you think the market is currently in? Some say a new crypto supercycle is brewing. Do you agree? What are your predictions for future industry trends?

Eric He: We can say that the market is currently on the eve of a period of "gathering momentum." Although the short-term signals are still somewhat vague, we see many positive signs.

First, the convergence of traditional finance and crypto finance is becoming increasingly evident. Over the past year, approvals for Bitcoin spot ETFs have accelerated across various countries, large institutions have begun issuing tokenized bonds, and stablecoins have become more widely accepted. Q: As a veteran in the industry with over a decade of experience, could you please share your investment/trading philosophy? What advice do you have for ordinary investors, especially the younger generation?

Eric He: This is a very meaningful question. I've always felt that crypto investing is ultimately a journey of cultivating mindset and cognition. My personal trading philosophy can be summarized in a few points:

  • Don't expect to make all your money in a single cycle. The market goes up and down, and you can't get rich overnight. Instead of envying others who get rich overnight with meme coins, it's better to view investment from a multi-cycle perspective. Take a long-term view, and you'll find that the cycle of bull and bear markets is a normal pattern, and those who persevere will be the big winners.
