At the end of last year, Lamina 1 announced its ecological fund L1 EF. For developers, the fund will invest in games, fashion, music, art, NFT projects, emerging artificial intelligence, Defi, Gamefi, DeSoc, virtual machines, Layer 2 protocols, identity, data storage, data availability, privacy, payments, DAOs, marketplaces, bridges, apps, immersive experiences, and more. Lamina 1 created this fund for two reasons. First, it provides a global investor community with a direct investment path to early-stage Layer 1 projects that were not previously accessible to the general public. Second, it is a vehicle for Web3 developers to raise early capital for their Open Metaverse ventures, an important differentiator for the L1 community, as creators in this industry typically only get access after mainnet Financial support.
