Hackathon Summary
The Kaia Wave Stablecoin Summer Hackathon , Kaia's first major initiative to promote large-scale innovation in DeFi mini-dApps, utilized Kaia's native USDT. The event attracted widespread attention and participation, with 94 projects approved and 575 developers registered. Many early-stage teams focused on building functional, operational DeFi products (rather than just prototypes) received comprehensive launch support, including mentorship, investment opportunities, and technical resources.
Throughout the Hackathon, multiple mini-dApps showcased innovative applications of stablecoins within the Kaia ecosystem, many of which also deeply integrated with the LINE Messenger ecosystem. Representative projects explored USDT yield mechanisms, DID-based stablecoin solutions, and AI-driven features for trading and asset allocation.
Ultimately, the winning teams shared a total prize pool of $165,000 USD and received additional infrastructure support. Furthermore, over $1 million USD in investment commitments were allocated to support project implementation and launch. The finalist teams also presented their demos at Token2049 Singapore, highlighting the event's emphasis on "immediate product launch" and "ecosystem impact."
This Hackathon demonstrated extremely high developer participation and DeFi technology innovation, injecting new impetus into the stablecoin DeFi ecosystem on the Kaia platform.
Hackathon Winners
Kaia Stablecoin Award Winner
Five projects were recognized at the Kaia Stablecoin Summer Hackathon for their technical solutions to the challenges of stablecoin practicality and decentralized finance. The awards were based on technical innovation, problem-solving approach, and quality of implementation.
First Prize
Lucky Savings – This project implements a lossless lottery DApp on Kaia Chain, leveraging a user pool to generate prizes while ensuring the security of user principal. Integration with LINE Messenger makes participation more convenient.
Second Prize
KiloLend – KiloLend launched a LINE Mini DApp for decentralized lending focused on stablecoins. Core features include dynamic interest rates, AI-assisted onboarding, gamified incentives based on KILO points, and TEE-based proxy trading for enhanced security.
Third Prize
Senja – Senja enables permissionless stablecoin lending through independent funding pools and cross-chain access via LayerZero. Its integration with the LINE Mini DApp facilitates onboarding of Web2 users, and a built-in fee buyback mechanism is also available.
Fourth place
NoLoss Protocol – NoLoss Protocol builds a risk-free prediction market on the Kaia blockchain, allowing users to stake USDT and earn returns. Winners share the profits, and all participants retain their principal regardless of winning or losing, making it suitable for users with a low risk appetite.
Fifth place
ReKaUSD – This project provides a yield-generating stablecoin for the KAIA Network, bridges USDT to Ethereum via the Chainlink CCIP, and invests in external yield strategies to introduce real USD inflows into the ecosystem.
