$126 Million USDC Withdrawn from Three Exchanges, Bitquery Traces Approximately $37.3 Million Still in Thieves' Associated Wallets

Odaily reports: According to monitoring by Bitcoin News, on-chain research firm Bitquery has traced that $126 million worth of USDC was withdrawn from Kraken, Crypto.com, and OKX on November 1 and 2. As of Thursday morning, approximately $37.3 million worth of USDC remains in Ethereum wallets associated with the thieves. French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa stated that the attackers gained access through a service provider's platform and used the bank's own accounts to transfer funds to other banks, after which the funds may have been converted into cryptocurrency. The bank denied that its online bank Fortuneo was the point of entry, and stated that no customer accounts were used and that customers suffered no financial losses. Crédit Mutuel Arkéa did not confirm the $133 million figure but said it could confirm the approximate scale.
