Stand With Crypto-backed candidates: 27 won, 12 lost, 6 races still undecided
Odaily reports that among candidates endorsed by Stand With Crypto, 27 won their elections, 12 lost, and the outcomes of 6 races remain undetermined. The organization endorsed a total of 45 candidates, nearly half of whom are Democrats.
U.S. House Democrats are discussing expanding the "Crypto Investor and Consumer Protection Act" proposed by Representative Maxine Waters into a broader crypto market structure bill. The plan would grant the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) more regulatory authority and limit the role of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Carlos Guzman, Vice President of Research at GSR, said that passing the "CLARITY Act" has become more difficult but is not entirely hopeless. He believes Democrats may demand that the bill include stricter consumer protection and conflict-of-interest provisions. (Decrypt)
