Holding approximately $1.4 billion in BTC, the Binance hacker's BTC holdings exceed Coinbase's corporate treasury holdings

Odaily Report: The attacker behind the Binance hack holds 18,270 BTC across 19 addresses, worth approximately $1.4 billion, with 17 of those addresses each holding 1,000 BTC; the relevant BTC has not moved since 04:48 Beijing time on October 30. This amount is 199 BTC more than Coinbase's disclosed corporate BTC holdings as of September 30 (totaling 18,071 BTC for investment and operational purposes). In addition, the attacker holds 508,621 ETH, exceeding the 495,362 ETH held by Ethereum treasury company The Ether Machine. The attacker initially stole approximately 200,600 ETH, with the remainder converted from stolen stablecoins and other tokens.
