Tokenized gold XAUa launches on Sui
Odaily reports that XAUa, a tokenized gold product regulated in Hong Kong, has launched on Sui. The token is minted under Sui's Permissioned Asset Standard (PAS), issued by AlphaToken, with TBook responsible for distributing it to on-chain users. Each XAUa is backed by physical gold stored in Hong Kong, and holding and purchasing it require meeting eligibility criteria. Under PAS rules, issuers encode compliance rules into a Policy, and every transfer must pass validation before settlement; transfers that fail validation are rejected and balances remain unchanged. TBook has migrated and rebuilt its vault issuance platform onto PAS, allowing future RWA issuers to issue vaults with similar compliance controls directly on Sui.
