SEC Approves Cboe to List Binary Options Tied to Key Metrics of Coinbase, Robinhood, and MARA

Odaily reports: A Fox Business crypto reporter posted on X that the SEC has approved Cboe to list binary options tied to key performance indicators of public companies, involving Coinbase, Robinhood, and MARA. Traders can take "yes" or "no" positions on metrics such as Coinbase trading volume, Marathon's Bitcoin production, and Robinhood's customer count and revenue. Robinhood is expected to become the first retail broker to offer such products. The SEC approved this securities options structure while stating that contracts with different structures may still fall under CFTC jurisdiction; SEC Chairman Paul S. Atkins said this move reflects "a new spirit of coordination, innovation, and investor choice."
