White House Explores Acquiring Bitcoin Through Federal Fund Inflows to Expand U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve
Odaily reports that Bitcoin News posted on X platform stating that the White House is exploring acquiring Bitcoin through existing federal government fund inflows to expand the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Patrick Witt, Executive Director of the President's Council of Advisors on Digital Assets, told Lark Davis that purchasing Bitcoin on the open market requires congressional authorization, and the government is currently studying ways to receive or convert existing federal fund inflows into Bitcoin. The plan aims to comply with President Trump's executive order and expand the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve without increasing taxpayer spending.
