Suspend sales and remove devices from shelves; Ledger asks distributors in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, China to cooperate with investigation

Odaily reports: Hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger has stated that during the investigation, it has asked distributors and resellers in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, China to suspend sales of Ledger devices and remove products from shelves, covering Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, China. The confirmed incidents remain limited to Southeast Asia, and no cases of stolen funds related to devices purchased in other regions have been verified. Ledger will continue to identify at which point in the distribution chain the devices were tampered with, and Ledger Donjon will analyze the devices it receives. There are currently no indications that Ledger's own infrastructure, systems, services, or direct sales channels have been compromised. Previously, Ledger confirmed that devices sold by Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis had malicious components implanted in them.
