Without the need for congressional legislation, former CFTC Acting Chairman Caroline Pham says crypto can be advanced through regulator-made rules
Odaily reports: MoonPay Chief Legal Officer and former U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Caroline Pham stated that crypto regulation does not require congressional legislation and can be advanced solely through rules formulated by regulatory agencies. She said the CFTC's regulatory jurisdiction covers almost everything, because the Commodity Exchange Act stipulates that, except for onions and movie box office revenue, virtually all items are considered commodities.
