CleanSpark Secures $2.276 Billion in Financing to Expand Data Centers, Holds 13,530 BTC and Sells 702 BTC
Odaily reports: Bitcoin News posted on X that publicly listed Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark disclosed its September operational data: mining output of 529 BTC, sold 702 BTC, of which 700 BTC were sold through call option exercises and 2 BTC were sold directly on the spot market; the company holds 13,530 BTC, with an average operating hashrate of 36 EH/s and contracted power capacity of 1.8 GW. CleanSpark also disclosed that 3,475 BTC in its treasury are recorded as collateral for derivatives trading or as receivables.
CleanSpark has secured $2.276 billion in financing for its Sandersville data center expansion project, with the related lease agreements expected to generate approximately $6.6 billion in contract revenue. CEO Matt Schultz stated that the financing will fully fund the project through to completion. As the business expands beyond Bitcoin mining, the company will cease publishing monthly Bitcoin mining updates and switch to quarterly disclosures.
